Doktorsvörn Olgu Ásrúnar
Þann 28. nóvember síðastliðinn varði Olga Ásrún Stefánsdóttir, iðjuþjálfi og aðjúnkt við Iðjuþjálfunarfræðideild HA doktorsrannsókn sína. Vörnin fór fram í Bergen í Noregi, nánar tiltekið við Western Norway University of Applied Sciences og var hægt að fylgjast með í streymi.
Rannsóknin ber heitið: „Navigating Treacherous Waters: Caregiving spouses´navigations through transitions in their partners´development of severe cognitive decline. A critical gerontology and familiy systems theory perspective.“
Á kynningarsíðu segir: This doctoral project was carried out between 2020 and 2025 at the Department of Health and Functioning, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. A critical gerontology and family systems theory perspective is incorporated into the research design, data production, analysis, and interpretation of the experiences of caregiving spouses of cognitively impaired partners. The research is situated within the fields of gerontology and family studies research.
